Myth #1  – Dream Symbols Have Universal Meaning

To prove the point, I googled the words “dream interpretation” and looked at the top four sites that offered a dream dictionary. I took the symbol “dog” in a dream and looked at each of the four dream dictionaries to see what a dog in a dream means. They were not only all over the map from dictionary to dictionary, they often had multiple meanings for “dog” in the same dictionary. It was also obvious that some dictionaries have copied stuff from other dictionaries. For anyone doubting these findings, I suggest a dreamer pick any symbol in a dream and run your own test. Then remember Myth #1 – Dream Symbols Have Universal Meaning. Also, if you want to know what a dream symbol means, avoid dream dictionaries.
